Date First Story Posted: November 2003
Author Profile ~ When not obsessively reading and writing TS fanfic,
Fluterbev plays Irish traditional music, which she also teaches at periodic
music workshops in North West England where she lives. Having spent the
last few years as a full-time single parent to two boys, she hopes in the
near future to return to her academic studies as a sociologist. Her research
interest is the remarkable people who read and write TS fanfic - in the
words of Blair Sandburg, "You're my thesis, man!"

Fluterbev's CL Featured
Author Interview.
- I Can Be You Oo Oo -- Missing
scene from Cypher. What is going on with Blair while Jim is fighting
Lash?
- The Dawn to Dark Series
- On the Edge of Dawn -- After the
damage done in TSbyBS, the strain tells on Blair. What will Jim do?
- Into the New Day -- Jim and Blair
have a lot to work out after the TSbyBS fiasco.
- Twilight of the Soul -- Whilst
facing head-on the lingering fallout from the press conference, both Jim
and Blair's lives are abruptly changed, apparently forever. Post-TSbyBS.
- The Darkest Night -- Whilst working
hard to put his life in order after the events in Twilight of the Soul,
Blair receives startling information which drags him into intrigue and
conspiracy.
- The Darkness Will Flee From the Light
-- Concluding chapter. The conspiracy surrounding James Ellison proves
to be even more far-reaching than Blair realized. Can the sentinel be saved
from his dire situation before it is too late, and will their lives ever
be the same again?
- Golden Confusion -- Blind Man's
Bluff missing scene. While Jim is busy wrapping up the drug bust at
the end of Blind Man’s Bluff, a series of misunderstandings at the
hospital lead to anguish for Blair.
- Sanctuary -- Missing scene for
The Rig. Blair deals with the emotional aftermath of defusing the
bomb.
- Just a Sham -- A missing scene,
of sorts, for TSbyBS, consisting of Blair's thoughts as he prepares to
give the press conference. An angsty reflection on why Blair believed his
career should be sacrificed instead of Jim's.
- The Anthropologist and the Goat --
Jim discovers that Blair possesses a skill he knew nothing about during
an anthropology field experiment.
- Revolution -- Set two weeks after
the third-season episode Crossroads. Blair's courage and endurance
are pushed to their absolute limit when he is unexpectedly thrust into
a life-threatening situation. In the aftermath, Jim tries to piece together
exactly how it was that his partner came to be so severely traumatized.
Rated R.
- The Taste of Death -- A missing
scene for Sentinel Too in the form of a drabble. A snapshot of Jim's
emotions after the fountain.
- Not Going Anywhere -- When a perp
takes out his revenge on Ellison by hurting Sandburg, the partners gain
a deeper insight into their fundamental need for each other.
- Wolf My Guide -- Written for Sentinel
Thursday on the theme of "proverbs." A sequence of fourteen short
missing scenes, spanning the entire series. Each missing scene is linked
to a different proverb, all of which relate to wolves, and collectively
they illustrate Ellison's thoughts and feelings about Sandburg as their
partnership progresses.
- No Turning Back series
- Anniversary -- Written for Sentinel
Thursday Challenge #51, Losing Control. Five years after an enforced separation,
revisiting the past stirs up old wounds for Jim and Blair.
- Reunion -- Written for Sentinel
Thursday Challenge #51, Losing Control. An unexpected visitor shakes the
foundation of Blair's world.
- Waiting -- Co-authored with Rhianne.
Written for the LJ Sentinel_thurs 'Amnesia' challenge. A nameless man is
adrift in a world where no-one, including him, knows his name. He is waiting
for that one clue, that one thing, that one person from his past, to find
him and make him whole again. (Authors' note: This
was not in any way written as a death fic, but several people have emailed
us since we posted it to ask if we meant it to be one. Basically, it wasn't,
and in our minds both Jim and Blair are 100% alive at the end of it, but
if you're particularly sensitive to death fics please be aware that it
seems like some people are reading this as one.)
- Scrying -- A missing scene for
Mirror Image. The frightening encounter with Warren Chapel in Conover
brings back some bad memories for Blair.
- An Anchor in the Storm -- Post-TSbyBS
angst. Blair is now a cop, but things are far from ideal and the pressure
is building. An unforeseen event on Christmas Eve leaves him floundering
in the storm, desperately seeking a lifeline. Can Jim keep him from going
under?
- Glimmerman -- Blair has an obligation
he can’t repay, so Jim pays Glimmerman a visit to straighten things out.
Epilogue for Three Point Shot.
- Blind Spot -- Jim thinks back to
the events in Dead End on Blank Street, and wonders how he missed
seeing Veronica's true intentions. Previously posted on Sentinel_Thursday.
- Snowball Fight -- Jim and Blair
captured in a moment of carefree abandon. A seasonal drabble of exactly
100 words.
- Kith, or Kin? -- Someone who knows
about sentinels is committing crimes in Cascade. As Ellison works to solve
the case, a conspiracy comes to light which threatens to end his partnership
with Sandburg forever. Warnings: Please see the story notes for
details.
- I Thought I Saw Sunlight --
An archetypal Blair-gets-kidnapped-then-rescued tale. Mucho angst and H/C.
- The Best Medicine -- Post TSbyBS.
Blair gets rescued (again). Smarm and bad jokes commence.
- Not Waving, But Drowning -- Companion
piece for An Anchor in the Storm.
- Guilty as Charged -- Post-TSbyBS
angst - yes, I'm obsessed with that theme. An exploration of Blair's psyche
during a dark time in his life. Definitely not a happy tale.
- Compassion in the Dark -- Blair
on the edge of despair, and Jim to the rescue, in a strange alien world
that the canon characters have found themselves mysteriously transported
into.
- The Rescue -- Blair has been kidnapped,
Jim rescues him. Nothing new here, move along, move along...
- Gathering, Fashioning -- A pair
of seasonal drabbles written for ts_secret_santa. The prompt was 'wreath'.
- Snow Problem -- A seasonal quadruple
drabble (400 words) written for ts_secret_santa. The prompt was 'snow'.
- Buddy Love -- A seasonal quintuple
drabble (500 words) written for ts_secret_santa. The prompt was 'The Holly
& the Ivy'.
- Breaking Point -- This is set mid-canon,
but takes an AU turn after that. What if Blair revealed Jim's secret in
a different way - under duress?
