Writer's Spelling Guide
This is a spelling guide for fanfic writers of words specifically related
to The Sentinel. The spellings are taken from props, episode credits,
and closed captioning. Please let us know (tslibrary@yahoo.com)

Terms
- sentinel (not sentinal) -- whether or not this is capitalized
is up to the writer
- shaman (not shamen or shamman)
- guide (used only by Brackett in Rogue)
- Enqueri -- Jim's Chopec-given name (Warriors); spelling
from closed captioning
- Chopec -- Peruvian tribe that took Jim in
- Quechua -- language Chopec spoke (Quechua
Language Page)
- Chief (not Cheif) -- main nickname Jim uses for Blair (it's
"i" *before* "e"!); note that this shouldn't really
be used *as* a name, i.e., "I have to talk to the Chief" (meaning
Blair); Jim never referred to Blair as "Chief" to someone else

- James (Jim) Ellison -- detective in Major Crime, former covert
ops Army Ranger; middle name was shown as "Joseph" on a
