Summary: Jim and Blair are off to some serious training meanwhile SG-1 takes care of some unfinished business on Earth. This is a The Sentinel and Stargate SG-1 crossover. Blair has been abducted by the Goa'uld which lead to a brand new exciting adventure for both Sentinel & Guide and the SG-C. This take right after Sentinel Too, assume that The Sentinel by Blair Sandburg has never happened. For Stargate SG-1, this takes please right before the season final of the second season.

Disclaimer: All the standard disclaimers apply; I don't own either the Sentinel or Stargate SG-1 series. The Sentinel belongs to the Pet Fly Co. & Stargate SG-1 belongs to the Showtime and MGM/UA. Don't worry I will return them all in good health, but maybe I will keep Blair a little longer.

Notes: This is part four of the on-going series. As you might notice, I have changed the title from “Training” to “Hearts and Emotions” hope you like it. I hadn't get many responses since I put out part three. Do you guys hate it? Love it? Please I love to hear from you guys! Sorry, it takes so longgggggggggg, for me to complete this part! I experienced my first writer block! Hopefully I am back on track and ready to write some more!

P.S. This chapter hasn’t been edited yet, so please excuse any grammar mistakes. I wanted to get this chapter out on January 1, 2000! Happy New Year, everyone!

Colorado Mountain, SGC

After the meeting in the debriefing room, it was already one o’clock in afternoon, everyone had retired to their quarters for some well deserved sleep. Jim and Blair were assigned separate quarters, they went to Jim's room for some privacy and much needed heart to heart talk.

Blair sat on the floor leaning against the couch, Wolf put his head in Blair's lap while Blair gently stroking Wolf's fur. Jim was sitting on the bed clenching his jaw with Jaguar lying at the foot of the bed. They sat there for fifteen minutes and Jim still hadn’t said anything.

‘Do you think Jim is mad at me? I mean, the secret was not for me to tell, but .... you know we don’t have much time...’ Blair asked nervously eyeing Jim, maybe he could have handle the situation a little better. He felt really bad dragging Jim into this mess.

‘No, the Sentinel can never stay angry at you. Give him sometime to think.’ Wolf comforted Blair. Blair was very sensitive when it came to Jim, the kid would be crushed if Jim was angry at him.

Meanwhile, the gears inside Jim’s brain were going a million miles per second. He still hadn’t digested the fact that Blair had just told everyone in that debriefing room that he was a Sentinel. He was very confused, he felt so exposed .....like a freak! He knew Blair would never intentionally hurt him, but.........

“Jim....” Blair spoke softly, when Jim made eyes contact with him, he signed softly and continued “Are you mad at me? I should have discuss this with you first, but I promise your secret will never get out of this base.....”

Jim stopped Blair from continuing on the guilt trip. “Chief, I am not mad but I wish you have told me sooner. At least I will know how to react!”

“I know, I understand. You are a private man. I could still remember Simon’s face when you let me moved in with you, even though it was supposed to be just for a few days. Simon’s jaw hit the floor, with his mouth wide open..” Blair chucked at the memory. Suddenly, reality clashed He had totally forgotten about Simon! Boy, he was going to be very piss at them.

“Jim, what time is it?” Blair asked nervously. He hoped it was not too late.

“It’s one forty-five right now. What’s wrong? Your heart is beating like you just run a marathon!” Jim couldn’t figure out why did Blair freaked out all of a sudden.

‘Blair, what’s wrong? Calm down, will you.’ Wolf gave Blair a gentle nudge.

“Yikes! I think we forgot to do something very important. For example like CALLING SIMON! He is going to KILL ME! I kidnap his best detective out of town without even a hello!” Blair got up from the floor, continued to babble and started pacing around like a caged animal.

“Oh Shit! I totally forgot about it! I promised to give Simon a call after the stakeout. I hope Megan can calm him down. He is probably worry sick by now. Chief, we need to give him a call before he has a heart attack.” Jim realized the seriousness of the situation, Simon was going to strangled them both with his bare hand! Jim and Blair rushed out of the room and went hunting for a phone. “Where the hell is a telephone when you need one!” Jim cursed under his breath.

Wolf and Jaguar followed their companions closely behind, still very confused what got them agitated all of a sudden.

Just then, Daniel came out of his quarters for a cup of coffee. Blair rushed up to him and asked, “Daniel, do you know where we can find a phone? We need to make a very important call! Iamsoscrewed!Simonwillkickmesohard Iwilllandinthenextmillenium!” Blair started to talk in nonsense.

‘Blair, you are not making much sense!’ Wolf reminded Blair.

“Chief, take a deep breath. Calm down! I don't need you to faint on me.” Jim clucked and placed a hand on Blair’s shoulder and waited for him to relax.

“I will show you where the phone is.” Daniel showed the duo to the breakroom. “Here it is, dials 9 and punches in the numbers.” Daniel didn’t leave the room, he was curious about the phone call they were making.

Jim and Blair stood in front of the phone, but either one of them was willing to pick up the phone and called their fierce leader. It wouldn’t be pleasant especially Simon was going to be in a very bad mood!

“Why don’t you give Simon a call, Chief. After all you did promise to call!” Jim said sweetly, he spent the last five minutes trying to get out of it, it was bad enough they were going to have to face him when they went back, he really didn’t need Simon roaring in his ear.

“Why me! He probably wants to hear from his BEST DETECTIVE! After all, you are the one who is still under his command!” Blair knew that was a low blow, but he really didn’t want to face Simon just yet.

Daniel watched the duo as both of them trying to get out of the job. Yet, he could see the bond of friendship between them. The way they supported and comforted each other, as if they were two halves soul who found each other. Daniel was glad that his brother finally found someone to share his life with and put down some roots, he quietly left those two alone.

Wolf and Jaguar smiled fondly at the Sentinel and Shaman, they were acting like children but it was nice to see them relax at least for a little while.

Finally, Jim won the battle, “I got sensitive hearing, you know! Plus Simon will love to hear from you since you haven’t bug him about eating healthy for six months.”

Blair scrubbed his hand through his long curly hair and signed, he missed his friends back in Major Crimes. Jim and the others provided him a stable home he never had when he was a kid. Oh well, he better gets on with it. The sooner Simon was done yelling, the sooner he would started listening to reasons.

*********************************

Cascade, Major Crimes

Simon was in his office looking over some reports, he stared at the computer terminal in front of him but his heart was definitely not on it. Megan Conner came in this morning and dropped the bomb, Blair was back in town and he took Jim with him. What the hell was wrong with that kid! Didn’t he know he should call before he decided to reappear! And what the hell was Jim thinking, running off with the kid without even a message, what did that make me? Chop Liver?

“You guys own me a huge explanation, big time!” He mumbled to himself. He was worried about Jim and Blair. They could attract every psysicos within hundred kilometer radius. Simon signed, he wished they would call, even just to tell him they were okay. It seemed that Jim and Blair were some kind of trouble magnets. If there was something somewhere that could rear up its ugly head and try to take a chunk out of out of somebody, it usually found them!

Inside in the Major Crimes, everyone was trying to find out what had happened this morning. Megan came in headed straight for Simon’s office. After five minutes, thunders and lightning crashed! “WHAT THE HELL YOU MEAN THEY ARE GONE! JIM IS YOUR PARTNER, AND YOU JUST LET HIM WALKS AWAY! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!.............”

Simon kept roaring for about thirty minutes. Things got a lot worst, as they found out Blair was back in town and took Jim with him. No wonder Simon was royally pissed. The weather in Major Crimes maintained high air pressure with 100% chance of thunder and lightning. No one dared to approach the lion’s den! Everybody worked their butt off or at least pretending to work, Megan was still trying to remember what happened last night.

Joel Trigger, Captain of the bomb squad, came back from his coffee break holding a cup of steaming Java in his hand. “So, what is the weather report?”

“Nothing changes much. He finally got tried of yelling at us and decided take it out on the paper work.” Brown looked at Ellison’s desk and signed. “How could Hairboy do this to us? At least drop by and say Hi before taking off with Jim! We are his friends, too!”

“What ever it is, I am sure Blair has his reasons.” Rafe tried to defend Blair. They all knew Blair well enough to know Blair wouldn’t do this without a good reason, and let’s hope the reason was good enough for Simon.

“Well, let just hope they come back in one piece. Hey, Megan, are you sure you don’t remember what happened?” Joel asked. “No offenses, but it will be impossible to ignore a person who had been missing for six months who come back and grab your partner!”

“Stop asking! Don’t you think I want to remember? Simon grilled me for half an hour and I still couldn’t remember a thing!” Megan signed and buried her face in her hands. The others felt sorry for her, poor unlucky girl!

Inside Simon’s office, Simon put his work down in frustration. “Damn, I can’t work like this! Not with those two running wild! They can’t take care of themselves!” His anger started to boil up again, just as the volcano about to erupt, Fate decided to grant Simon’s wish, and the phone rang. Simon picked up the phone and yelled, “MAJOR CRIMES, BANKS, WHAT? I DON’T HAVE ALL DAY! SPILL IT OR I HANG UP!”

“.......Simon........Hi......” An extremely familiar voice was on the other end of the phone, the voice sounded very nervous, but it couldn’t be, WAIT it is! Reality stroke, “SANDBURG! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING. HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME? DROP IN AND GRAB JIM WITH YOU! AND DON’T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING THE PHONE DOWN, BECAUSE I AM NOT FINISH WITH YOU..........”

Outside the office, everybody froze up. What? That’s Blair on the phone! Boy, that guy knew when was the right time to call! They would have tipped toe to the door and listened in, but unless you wanted to burst your ear drum, that was not very wise. They were sure Simon’s voice could be hear loudly and clearly all over the building!

“Simon, listen to me. I didn’t mean to, but it was an emergency...” Blair’s weak voice was cut off by Simon’s roar. “WHAT THE HELL YOU MEAN YOU DIDN’T MEANT TO! WE CALL YOU KID, BUT YOU ARE A GROWN MAN! DON’T YOU KNOW YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO CALL, ESPECIALLY AFTER DISAPPEARING FOR SIX MONTHS! AN YOU STILL HAVEN’T ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!”

“I would have, if you listened to me. I didn’t mean to disappear like that. Jim and I are safe right no. We are in a military base.......”

“MILITARY BASE! DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN A MILITARY BASE?” Suddenly, Simon changed to a serious tone. “Are you and Jim in trouble? Does it have something to do with Jim’s ability? Don’t you dare to hold out on me! Spill it!”

“Jim and I are not in trouble, the military requires our assistance for the time being. Jim’s secret is safe, I promise you that with my life. I will protect Jim.”

Simon signed and rubbed his eyes. ‘That Kid always put everyone’s interest before himself, when will he learn to look out of himself?’ “ What about you Sandburg, are you okay? Where were you for the last six months? Everyone was worried sick!”

“Sorry Simon, I miss you guys. It is too complicated for me to explain right now. What we are doing right not is classified. It will take sometimes for us to finish this. Simon!!!!!!!! Don’t start yelling, I get Jim for you.....”

From the background, Simon could hear Blair rushing out the door, while Jim calling him a coward. “Jim, talk to me!”

“Hi, Simon! I didn’t mean to miss today shift. Something came up.” ‘Now, that’s the understatement of the century! Aliens, Stargate, Snakehead, and us the savior of the universe, that way out of control!’ Jim smiled. He could understand Simon’s reaction. He cared a lot, he just didn’t show it often.

“So, I don’t think you will tell me what’s going on here....Are you sure you guys are safe?” Simon took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes, working with those two would shorten his life span tremendously!

“I am sure we are safe.” ‘At least for the time being’ “We just want to call and tell you not to worry. We will come back as soon as possible. We will keep in touch, call back every few days. Take care of Cascade for me, sir. Take care of yourself, too.”

“One of this day, I will turn blue from all the worrying. Take care of yourself, Jim.” Simon signed. It’s not possible he would stop worrying just because Jim’s call.

“Good bye, sir. I promise we will come back in one piece.”

“Good, so I can tear up you guys bits by bit. Tell Sandburg I haven’t finish with him yet.” Simon chuckled as he hung up the phone. He stood up and walked up to the door. When he saw everybody stopped working, he yelled. “Don’t you guy have works to do? Crimes won’t solve themselves!” Everybody started working again, it was just a normal day in Sandburg zone.

‘Blair, it is not a nice thing to do, running out on your Sentinel.’ Wolf chuckled at Blair’s reaction for the phone call.

Blair cursed under his breath. He was a coward, running away like that, but he was sure even Snakehead would have run from a voice like that. Since he had nothing else to do, Blair decided to drop in and visited his brother, they were due for a long talk anyway.

Blair walked up to Daniel’s door and knocked softly, “Daniel, is me, Blair. Do you have a minute?”

Approaching foot steps could be heard from the other side of the door. Daniel opened the door, and was a little surprise to see Blair and Wolf. “Blair, come on in!” Blair walked inside the room and sat down on a chair. Wolf lay down beside the chair and catch some snoozes. He scanned the room and could see all sort of artifacts, scrolls, and even some types of alien treasures waiting to be study. Blair smiled at Daniel, Daniel knew it was time for them to talk.

“So, what have you been up to for the last few years.” Blair asked, he didn’t like the idea of being shut out of his own brother’s life. He always wanted a brother when he was little, and now he found the brother he lost he was not about to let go.

“A little of this and a little of that...I didn’t mean to deceive you. I miss you, bro.” Daniel took a good look at his young brother. Blair seem wiser and more mature, he could see curiousity and the desire of learning burning inside of him. “A lot had happened, I would like to tell you all about it, if you are willing to listen.”

Blair smiled gently and encouraged him. “About three years ago, I was hired by the military to study the Stargate........After the Stargate had been activitated, we were sent to explore others planets. We landed on Abydos, that’s where I met Sha’re, my wife.............................After Jack left, I planned to stay on Abydos for the rest of my life..............” Blair watched as Daniel continued on to tell him about his life on Abydos, he could tell Daniel loved Sha’re very much. Daniel had found someone to share his life with, Blair was very happy for his brother. “..........when the military discovered the truth on Abydos, Jack was ordered to return..... Apophis’s guards took Sha’re and Sha’re’s brother Skaara. I returned to Earth to work with SG-1 and tried to find Sha’re.....Now, Apophis is defeated but Sha’re is gone! God, I wish I know where she is, I miss her.......”

‘It is a very sad story. He must love her very much.’ Wolf awoke just in time hear the end of the story.

‘I am going to make sure the story is going to have a happy ending.’ Blair vowed.

Blair could see the pain in Daniel’s eyes, he wanted Daniel to be happy. ‘Don’t worry, I will find her for you and free her from the Goa’uld.’ Blair walked over to Daniel and gave him a warm huge. “I am sure you will find Sha’re. I sure will like to meet the woman who makes you fall head over heel with her, when you were known to be insensitive about women’s feeling when we were in College.” Daniel chuckled.

“So what about you? When did you start hanging out with police. You know, he isn’t exactly your type, I though you like redheads?” Daniel teased his brother. Blair blushed and gave Daniel a playful slap on the back, he started to tell the story of him and his Sentinel............

*********************

After the phone call, Jim was looking all over for Blair, Jaguar followed the Sentinel patiently. Just then, Jim saw Blair coming out of Daniel’s room. Blair turned around and gathered Daniel for a warm embrace. It didn’t take a Sentinel to see how much they cared for each other, Jim couldn’t help feeling a twinge of jealousy toward Daniel. Jim knew it was irrational, of course Blair cared for his brother, or else he wouldn’t be Blair. ‘What if Blair decides to stay with Daniel, what will I do? I don’t want to lose you, Chief.’

Blair turned around when he felt the presence of his Sentinel. “Hey, Jim! How did Simon take the news?” With laughter in his eyes he bounced toward Jim, with Wolf trailing behind.

“Let just say we shouldn’t go back anytime soon.” Jim relaxed as he saw the same warm and trust in Blair’s eyes. ‘Blair will never leave me.’ Jim reassured himself, wrapping his arms around Blair and gave him a light hug.

“What’s that for?” Blair asked, “Are you okay, Jim?” Blair could sense something was troubling Jim, and he would find out why.

“Everything is all right, Chief. Everything is just fine.”

*******************

Later that Evening, in SGC conference room, Everyone sitted around the conference and wondering why did Blair called on this meeting. Wolf was lying down beside Blair chair and Jaguar was by Jim’s side, as usual.

“The reason I call on this meeting is that I have an announcement to make. Jim and I are leaving...........” Blair stopped talking, and waited patiently for the commotion to erupt all at once.

“WHAT! LEAVING? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING! WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WAR, KID!” Jack exclaimed.

Wolf growled softy at Jack, he disliked anyone who disrespects Blair. “Mr. Sandburg, I will like you to reconsider. You and Mr. Ellison are very important to SGC. We can’t risk losing you in the middle of the war.” General Hammond persuaded, he couldn’t believe they would consider leaving. They were mankind last chance against the Gou’alds.

“Chief, we are leaving? I thought we are supposed to stay here until the war is over?” Jim asked confusingly.

“Blair, are you serious? I thought you are supposed to help?” Sam Carter asked.

“Bro, is there something wrong? Why are you leaving?” Daniel asked, a little hurt that Blair was going to leave him.

Tok’ra council exchanged comments between themselves and glanced at Blair, they didn’t speak out like the others because they believed Blair had his reason, plus mainly out of respect because it was not every day you found out a thousand years old prophecy came true.

The only one in the room who had remained silent throughout the whole thing is Teal’c. He awaited patiently for Blair to continue.

“Thank you, Teal’c. As I was saying before, Jim and I are leaving .... to train Jim how to use his Sentinel’s power. Right now, Jim doesn’t have any control over his power, let alone to use it to fight in a war. We will be leaving tomorrow morning. We will only be gone for about a week, I am sure you all will be fine. Now, you can ask questions.” Blair smiled at their shock reactions.

“How are we going to defend ourselves if Apep decided to attack. From what you had told us, we don’t stand a chance up against his firepower.” General Hammond was very concerned about the safety of the SGC.

“So, I don’t think you will leave us defenseless. However, is it really the right time for training? Can you guys do the training here?” Jacob Carter asked. The Tok’ra councils were very concern, most of the Tok’ra was in recovering conditions they couldn’t possibly hold off another attack.

“Isn’t it a little too late to start training?” Jack mumbled under his breath. Jim’s jaw muscle tightened when he heard the comment, but he didn’t say anything.

“The technological data I inputted in the SGC mainframe will provide information on how to setup the defense system that even Apep won’t be able to break through. I am certain by now, Apep probably already heard of my appearance in SGC. He won’t attack yet, he is still haunted by his last defect by the Sentinels. He sees Jim as the greatest threat of his plan to conquer earth.” Blair reassured everyone in the room.

“How can you be so sure?” Captain Sam Carter asked. “This is war, we cannot base our plan on assumptions.”

“Captain Carter.....” Although Sam already asked him to call her by her first name, but since this was a military meeting and he was still are comer, Blair felt it would be best if he refereed her to her rank. “ When I was on the planet Elti, I was trained by the Ma’ta. They taught me how to channel by power and the first war with Apep. Let me tell you, the guy hasn’t change much over the pass six thousand years, he will not attack and risk being defeat by the Sentinel again, he will wait until he is already, strengthening his army. That will give us sometimes to prepare for war, Jim and I can go training.”

“Mr.Sandburg, I approval of your departure with Mr. Ellison. People, we have a war to prepare for, let’s get moving.” General Hammond gave out order, stood up and ready to leave when Blair stopped him.

“Sir, may I make a suggestion?” Blair asked.

“Certainly, Mr. Sandburg.”

“I will like to suggest, while Jim and I are off training. General, you will send a team to take care of the Stargate in Cario. It will be dangerous to leave the door opens for the Gou’alds to enter and leave.” Blair expressed his concerns, he was still a little uncomfortable thinking about that Stargate in Cario. His bad luck started from there.

“Thank you for the input. SG-1 takes a team to Cario and deactivate the

Stargate. Keep a look out of Gou’alds.” General Hammond almost forgot about the third Stargate one Earth. He couldn’t help wondering how many Stargates there were on Earth?

“General, Wolf and Jaguar will remain here to assist SG-1 on their mission. I am sure they will......” Blair suddenly stopped talking and direction his attention to Wolf. He could feel anger, disbelief, and frustration radiating from Wolf. Blair knew if he ordered Wolf to stay behind, Wolf would do so but that would destroy their relationship.

‘Blair, I don’t want to stay here. If I can’t go with you then I will return to Elti.’ Wolf stood up and looked directly into Blair’s baby blue eyes, he was hurt by the idea Blair wanted to leave him here. For the past six months, they had been inseparable. Now that they were back on Earth, Blair didn’t want to be with him anymore. Wolf knew he was being childish, and Jaguar would tease him about it probably for the next thousand years, but he couldn’t help it being with Blair was important to him.

Blair looked at Wolf’s golden eyes and saw all type of emotion flashing in his eyes, he knew Wolf’s feeling was hurt. Blair immediately kneeled down and put his arms around Wolf. ‘I won’t order you to stay, I am your friend not your master, I had made a promise to you on Elti that I will never order you to do anything you don’t want to. All I ask is for you to consider staying here. They need your help.’ Blair’s hand gently stroking Wolf silver’s coat, offering comforts.

Jim and the others watched in surprise by Blair’s sudden action. They didn’t what was going on between Blair and Wolf. Jaguar signed as he was looking at those two. Wolf was acting irrational, he knew Blair had his reasons by leaving him here. However, Wolf’s emotion got the better of him. For the past six months, Wolf took care of Blair liked a son, loved him as a brother. Now, Blair wanted to leave Wolf on Earth, Wolf just couldn’t deal at this moment. Spirit guides weren’t supposed to get so attach charges, their responsibilities were to guide the human and help them if necessary. Spirit guides weren’t supposed to stay with their charges twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.

‘.........’ Wolf was silent for a moment. ‘Those humans don’t need my help, but you do. You always get hurt when I am not around. You need me to be with you.’

‘I need you to take care of them. Even though Apep won’t attack for a while, but those Gou’alds lose on Earth might. I need you to take care of SG-1, especially Daniel. I don’t want to lose my brother again.’ Blair gave Wolf a puppy dog look and Wolf knew he was defeated. Wolf admitted he liked Daniel, after hearing his heartbreaking story.

‘All right.....’ Wolf said redundantly and signed, he could never say no to Blair. Blair smiled and gave Wolf a hug, ‘I knew you understand.’ Then Blair stood up. “If that’s all General, Jim and I have some packing to do.”

“You are all dismissed.” General Hammond was still very confused about what had happened, but apparently the current crisis had been resolved.

********************

Blair was in the control room studying the information on the planets that the SG teams had been on; Wolf was sitting by his side, spending as much time with Blair as possible before he had to leave. Blair took a sip of tea he made from the breakroom. 'Hum.... I can’t seem to find the right planet for Jim and I to train on....I can’t take Jim to Ma’ta......I guess the SGC computer is due for another update.’ Blair started typing furious in the computer.

Technician Davis, who was in charged of handling the Gate operations was currently on duty, he watched nervously as Blair typed. Partly because of the mysterious entrance from yesterday, also because of Blair’s demonstration of power. What was that Wolf doing in the Control room anyway. “Sir, may I ask what are you doing?” Technician Davis asked politely, General Hammond ordered all people in SGC that Blair Sandburg and Jim Ellison were guests and they were to be treated with respect. What they were doing in SGC had been classified, only a few people in high command including the SG-1 knew what was really going on. Though all the people in SGC knew, Blair and Jim were the key to the war.

“I am just entering addition data to the computer......” Blair trailed off and concentrated on his task on hand.

Samantha Carter and Daniel Jackson walked into the Control room. “Hey, Blair! What are you doing? Jim was looking for you.” “Oh, I guess I forgot to tell him. I am just imputing our traveling plan in the computer.” Blair continued to type. ‘I need a planet with lot of sun shines, blue sky, the most important is ....... It must be warm! ...... I guess Kell is my best choice.’ “Excuse me.” Blair smiled at Technician Davis, and gave orders for Jim and his departure tomorrow.

After Blair finished, he stood up and walked out of the control with Wolf by his side, Sam and Daniel followed behind.

“What kind of data you inputted into the computer? The coordinates you gave to Davis, we never been on to that planet before.” Daniel asked curiously, imagined a new culture to study, how fascinating!

Blair grinned, “For last six months, I had traveled to different planet learning their cultures and history. I just download those planet’s coordinates to your computer, you might find it useful.” Blair and Daniel were busy chatting about the experiences he had for the last six months, Sam watched as the two brothers walked side by side. Daniel’s eyes were filled with excitement and happiness. ‘I haven’t see Daniel this happy for a long time....’

***********************

SGC, Gate Room

From the control room, the technician was calling out as the chevrons locked. “Chevron one encoded, chevron two encoded.......chevron seven locked.” The iris unlocked and retracted, then with a mechanical whine as it coordinated with the 'gate at the destination, the Stargate exploded with silver light and it into life.

Blair was dressed in the same cloak he wore when he first came to SGC, Jim was dressed in jeans and a sweat shirt, both men carried a large backpack with Wolf and Jaguar beside them. SG-1 and General Hammond were present to send them off.

Blair and Daniel were saying good-bye, “Be careful, Blair.” “I will be, I promise. Take care of yourself.” Then Blair gathered Daniel in an embrace.

Meanwhile, Jim and Jack were staring at each other. They still were holding a grouch, but apparently they had mutual agreement, a truce was held until the war was over. Now was not the time for personal conflict, plus Blair would get mad again and froze them in place, that would be embarrassing.

‘Blair, be careful. Don’t do anything reckless, stick with Jim. Don’t wander off alone...’ Wolf had been at it even since they entered the Gateroom, acting like a parent sending off the child to his first camping trip alone.

Blair kneeled down and looked directly into Wolf’s golden eyes, ‘I will be careful, I promise! It will be okay, is only for a week.’ Blair understood Wolf’s uneasiness of leaving him alone, ‘I will miss you buddy.’ Blair gave Wolf one last hug and stood up. “I am ready to go.”

Jim eyeing suspiciously at the Stargate, although Blair reassured him it was perfectly safe and it was just like a roller coaster ride, ‘Yeah right, that’s really comforting.’ Jim gave Jaguar a pet on the head and walked toward the Stargate with Blair.

SG-1, General Hammond, along with Wolf and Jaguar watched as the duo stepped through the Stargate and disappeared into the silver liquid.

“People, we got work to do. Colonel O’Neil, are your team ready?” General Hammond asked

“Yes, sir! We are ready to leave.”

“Take your team and secure the Stargate in Cario. Don’t alert the civilians in the area. You are dismissed.” General Hammond stepped out of the Gateroom.

Jack observing Wolf and Jaguar, ‘Okay, the Wolf don’t like me and that’s a fact. This is going to be a long week.’ “People, you heard the General.

Let’s move out!” Wolf took his position by Daniel’s side and Jaguar trailed behind. Daniel gave Wolf a gentle pet on the head, “Blair asked you to look after me, didn’t he? You must like him very much. Thank you for taking care of him. He really needs a keeper.” Wolf nudged Daniel’s hand and showed affection toward the only human he liked in this room. Spirit guides rarely came in contact with humans, this was a special case and it was even harder to get them to like human. Wolf knew he would protect this human just like Blair.

*******************

Cario, Egypt

SG-1 and companies, including couples of uninjured Tok’ra arrived at the archeological site that Blair had shown them. There was no Stargate in sight. “Where the hell is the Stargate? That kid had better not send us on a wild goose chase.” Jack O’Neil muttered. Wolf gave him a glare, if look could kill Jack would be dead for a million times now. Daniel had to play referee for the entire. Wolf maintained his distance from everyone except Daniel, and Jaguar just followed from behind.

Daniel studied the symbols on the wall very closely, from what Blair had told him the key to the trap door should be right about here, Daniel gave it a push the door opened. “Guys! I find the way in!” Daniel walked through the door with Wolf following behind.

“Daniel, wait for us!” Jack pursued in haste, Daniel always rushed into things without considering the danger that might follow. Teal’c guarded the entrance to check the surrounding for Gou’alds. Sam Carter ordered a team to secure the Stargate.

Inside the room was just as Blair described, with the Stargate standing in the center of the room. “Jack, this place is a historical gold mine. Think of all the things I can learn from here.” Daniel was like a fish in water, happily surveying his surroundings. “No, Danny boy, don’t think about it. You can have all the time later to study these rocks. Now, let’s make sure there are no Gou’alds in the compound.” Though, it was good to see Daniel so happy ever since Sha’re's disappearance Daniel hadn’t smiled much.

Everyone was scattered around the site to search for anything suspicious. Daniel just couldn’t resist the temptation of the historic artifacts. It was like thousands of untold stories waiting to be heard! He quietly sneaked back into the gateroom and happily dived into his studies. Wolf shook his head, Daniel was so much like Blair, apparently curiosity ran in the family. Wolf stayed by Daniel’s side because he knew if Daniel was anything like Blair, they both were the world biggest trouble magnets!

Daniel was mesmerized by his surroundings, he was startled when the Stargate suddenly became activated. “Oh Boy! Why me? Jack is going to kill me.” Daniel swallowed nervously started to retrieve back to the door hoping he could out run whatever came through the gate. Wolf took a protective stand in front of Daniel and sent out telepathic message to Jaguar, ‘Trouble approaching, come quick!’

Meanwhile, Teal’c was surveying the surroundings with Jaguar following behind. Both of them were the strong and silent type, so they got along just fine. Jaguar suddenly tensed up and scanned his surroundings, then he heard Wolf’s warning. ‘I am coming.’ Jaguar immediately doubled back to the gate room. Teal’c followed close behind, he realized something was wrong. They met up with Jack O’Neil around the corner, “O’Neil, something is wrong.” Teal’c informed Jack.

“Oh Hell, what is wrong now? Well, lead the way.....Where is Daniel?..... Oh! Shit.” Jack looking at Jaguar. He still had a hard time with the fact he was talking to a Jaguar, who could tear him into pieces, as if the Jaguar could understand him. What a weird day. “All units, this is Colonel O’Neil, I need back up in the gate room immediately! I repeat a potential dangerous situation at hand! Back up required!”‘ Danny boy, when this is over, I am going to strangle you slowly and painfully. That kid never listens.’

Back in the gate room, Daniel and Wolf were in hot water. They were seriously outnumbered and apparently the Gou’alds decided they weren’t going to take prisoners. “Can we talk this over?” Daniel asked as he ducked another energy blast from the weapon. “I take that as a NO! Damn!” Daniel returned fire, but the bullets couldn’t penetrate the shields that surrounded the Gou’alds. Wolf tried his best to shield Daniel from the blasts, normal Gou’alds weapons had no effect on him, but that certainly didn’t go for Daniel. ‘I can’t keep this up forever. Jaguar, where are you?’ Jack and Teal’c walked right into the middle of crossfire between Daniel and the Gou’alds. “Need a hand, Danny boy?” Jack fired at the Gou’alds, “Damn it! They have shields!

Reinforcements arrived right on time, but it seems no weapons could penetrate the Gou’alds shielding, “Shit! We need a plan, fast!” Jack O’Neil cursed as he returned fire. Wolf and Jaguar exchanged glances and leaped forward shielding SG-1 and the rest of the people from the Gou’alds energy blasts. “Wow, they can do that?” Daniel exclaimed.

“Colonel O’Neil, aimed for their weapons, the energy bursts from it should disrupt their shields.” One of the Tok’ra suggested.

“Well, let’s give it a try. Okay time out is over!” Jack and the others ready to take aim as Wolf and Jaguar dropped the protective shielding. Jack fired a shot aiming for the head of the staff weapon, the first bullet disrupted the firing mechanism of the staff created a minor explosion, the second bullet shot the Gou’ald right on his chest. “Okay, we know how to take them out, let’s get to work!” The table had quickly turned, the team fought off the Gou’alds. Couples of Gou’alds managed to retreat back through the Stargate but the rest were captured.

“Danny boy, come here.” Jack called Daniel to his side. “Next time, I will bring a leash so you won’t run off alone!”

“I wasn’t alone, Wolf was with me!” Daniel defended himself. “There is no harm done anywhere!”

“Sir, we secure the gate. Our people will post guard until the gate is ready for transport.” Sam Carter reported, and gave Daniel a sympathizes smile. Apparently, trouble seems like a shallow, following Daniel closed behind.

“Let’s head back! You and I are not finish yet, we will have a long talk Daniel.” Jack relaxed and gave Daniel a slap on the back. Jack realized he hadn’t probably thanked Wolf and Jaguar, “Thank you!” Jack spoke softly, looking at Wolf and Jaguar. ‘You are welcome' Wolf’s eyes twinkled, that human wasn’t so bad after all.

Blair wrapped Jim around his arms and embraced him, “Jim, I am sorry.”

“For what? What are you talking about?” Jim was stunned why did the kid suddenly reacted this way.

“Jim, I am sorry. I should be more considerate. I never ask if you want to fight. I shouldn’t have answer for both of us. It’s your life, you have to choose for yourself. It is my fault, I drag you into this mess.......” Blair went out going through the guilt trip.

“Hold on, Chief!” Jim put his hands on Blair’s shoulders and looked straight into his eyes. “What are you thinking? I never blame you for anything, especially this. I am willing to fight to protect my tribe just as any Sentinel should be. It’s my duty and my density, so be it.”

“Buuuuut.........Jim...then what is troubling you?” Blair tried to sort out his mix feelings.

“I am afraid.” Blair was surprise Jim Ellison, the hard ass cop would admit that he was afraid, but of what? “I am afraid I am going to lose you, to your brother and to the new life you have discovered.” Jim lowered his head.

Blair didn’t know what to say. He had never consider leaving Jim, and hell, he never would leave him. Jim became so important to him, Blair trusted him with his life. He loved him as a brother, maybe even more. Silently, he reached out and cup Jim’s face with his hand. “ Jim, I vow I will leave your side, as your guide, as your partner, as your friend, and as you brother. Daniel and I are brother by blood, but you are my brother by choice. I choose to be with you, I haven’t regret any moments I have spend by your side. In life or death, I will always be with you. Without you by my side, the universe is meaningless to me.”

Jim held Blair closely, Sentinel and Guide were back in sync, together forever....
